Raul Meireles always had his own style, didn’t he?
The 35-year-old former Chelsea and Liverpool midfielder recently appeared on ‘Lip Sync Portugal’ to perform Antonio Variacoes’ 1983 song ‘O corpo e que paga’.
Meireles played 76 times for Portugal and spent two years in the Premier League between 2010 and 2012, joining Roy Hodgson’s Reds first for £11.5m before moving to London for £12m.
His last club was at Fenerbahce, whom he left in 2016 and he appears to be enjoying himself in retirement.
Fans certainly seemed to appreciate his moves.
Raul Meireles is a cult hero at Chelsea for his strike against Benfica alone, so I for one will not judge what he wants to do in retirement 😂😭. If lip sync Portugal is that, let the man do it 😭https://t.co/zy9gyNPSyS
